Hello and welcome to the team! Your manager has invited you to use the Ficos app to manage your deliveries. Ficos makes your job easier by giving you a simple, clear tool to see your jobs, get directions, and update your delivery status, all from your own phone.
This guide will show you everything you need to know to get started with **Ficos Driver Mode**.
What is Ficos Driver Mode? #
Ficos Driver Mode is a special, simplified version of the Ficos app designed just for you. When you log in, you won’t see any of the store’s sales reports or settings. You will only see the tools you need to do your job effectively:
- Your Dashboard: An overview of your daily tasks and earnings.
- Your Delivery List: A clear list of all your assigned jobs.
- Delivery Details: All the information you need for a specific drop-off, including the customer’s address and a button to get directions.
Step 1: Accept the Invitation and Log In #
Before you can start, you must accept the invitation from your manager.
- Check Your Email: You will receive an email invitation to join your manager’s store on Ficos.
- Create Your Ficos Account: Download the Ficos app from the Play Store or App Store. Sign up for a new account using the exact same email address that the invitation was sent to.
- Accept the Invitation: After creating your account, you will see the store invitation on your screen. Tap **”Accept”** to join the team.
- Select the Store: Once accepted, you can select the store from your list to log in. Ficos will automatically open in Driver Mode.
Step 2: Understanding Your Driver Dashboard #
The Dashboard is your home screen. It gives you a quick summary of your day.
- Availability Status: Use the switch at the top to set your status to **”Online”** (available for new jobs) or **”Offline”**.
- Daily Summary: See at a glance how many **Pending Deliveries** you have, how many you’ve **Completed Today**, and (if you’re a contract driver) your total **Earnings Today**.
- Next Delivery: This card shows your most urgent job, with buttons to **View Details** or **Start Navigation**.
- Today’s Route: This section shows a list of your other deliveries for the day, organized into “In Progress,” “Upcoming,” and “Completed.”
Step 3: Completing a Delivery – The Workflow #
When your manager assigns you a new delivery, you’ll receive a push notification. The job will appear in your **Delivery List** (accessible from the Dashboard).
-
- Select Your Next Job:
- Go to your **Delivery List** and tap on the top job to open the **Delivery Details** screen.
- Select Your Next Job:
-
- Get Directions:
- On the detail screen, you’ll see the customer’s name and address. Tap the big green “GET DIRECTIONS” button to open the location directly in your preferred maps app (like Google Maps) for turn-by-turn navigation.
- Get Directions:
-
- Start the Delivery:
- Once you are on your way, tap the “START DELIVERY” button. This updates the status to “In Transit” and lets your manager know you are en route.
- Start the Delivery:
- At the Customer’s Location – Mark as Delivered:
- After you have handed over the package, tap the “MARK AS DELIVERED” button.
- You will be asked to provide **Proof of Delivery**. You can either take a quick photo of the delivered item or, if the customer is present, you can skip this step.
What if a Delivery Fails? #
If you are unable to complete a delivery (e.g., the customer is not home), it’s important to record it.
- On the Delivery Details screen, tap the “MARK AS FAILED” button.
- You will be prompted to enter a short reason. Be clear and concise (e.g., “Customer not at location,” “Incorrect address”).
- This notifies your manager of the issue so they can resolve it.
Managing Your Profile and Earnings #
From your main Dashboard, you can tap your profile picture to access your personal settings.
- Driver Profile: Here you can update your contact phone number and add details about your vehicle (e.g., “Motorcycle – UBE 123X”).
- My Earnings (for Contract Drivers): If you are paid per delivery, this screen is your financial ledger. You can see an itemized list of every delivery you’ve completed, the amount you earned for each, and whether it has been **Paid** or is still **Unpaid**.
Conclusion #
Ficos Driver Mode is designed to make your job as simple and efficient as possible. By keeping your status updated and marking deliveries as you complete them, you help keep the entire team in sync and ensure a great experience for the customer. If you have any questions, please speak with your store manager. Happy driving!
Frequently Asked Questions #
Do I need to download a separate 'Ficos Driver' app? #
No. You download the same Ficos app as your manager. The app is smart; when you log in with your “Driver” account, it will automatically switch to the simplified Driver Mode for you.
What does the 'Availability' switch on my dashboard do? #
This switch tells your manager if you are ready to accept new jobs. Set it to “Online” at the start of your shift and “Offline” when you are done for the day. This helps your manager know who is available for new deliveries.
What happens if I forget to tap 'START DELIVERY'? #
Tapping “START DELIVERY” is important because it updates your status to “In Transit” and lets your manager know the delivery is underway. If you forget, you will still be able to mark the order as “Delivered” when you arrive at the customer’s location.
Why can't I see my earnings? #
The “My Earnings” screen is only visible to drivers who have been set up as “Contract Drivers” (paid per delivery). If you are an “Internal Staff” driver (salaried or hourly), your pay is managed outside the Ficos app, so this screen will not be shown.
What should I do if the customer's address on the map is wrong? #
If you are unable to find the customer, your first step should be to try calling them using the phone number on the Delivery Details screen. If you cannot reach them, you should mark the delivery as “Failed” and provide a reason, such as “Incorrect address, customer unreachable.” This will notify your manager.
